I love the way it feels,
To be a small town hero,
The feeling of strength,
When the ball hits the bat,
I love the way it sounds,
When the fans scream,
And the teamates cheer,
I love the way it tastes,
The humidity in the air,
Thick in your lungs,
Or winter-like days,
When the air only makes you more alert,
I've also come accustom to the pain,
The scars the fly up my legs,
Give me the feeling of strength,
And the small errors that make you better,
But no matter what,
I love softball.
